From the weekly Sunday evening quiz to line dancing, badminton, flower arranging, zumba, Northern Soul nights, live entertainment, you’ll find a wealth of things to suit all tastes at the Pie Hall.

 

Phil and Glynis always greet you with a warm welcome, and the well stocked bar , including regular guest ales, will enable you to choose your libation, and within the lounge you can browse a wealth of memories from Denby Dale Pies from years gone  by.

The Pie Hall lends itself to a variety of uses. Birthdays, anniversaries, meetings, societies, clubs, events, sports and you'll be surprised at how reasonable our rates are.

                   Clubs Who Currently Use the Pie Hall

       Zumba

Join Gina at The Pie Hall every Monday ( 9.30am - 10.30am & 6.30pm - 7.30pm ) , Tuesday ( 10am - 11am , would suit mature movers ) , and Wednesdays ( 5.45pm - 6.45pm & 7.00pm - 8.00pm ). All classes are only £5 per session, contact Gina on 07778035351
 

    Tumble Tots

Our motto is simple; "make it more fun". We do this by delivering our specifically designed programme for each age group with energy, enthusiasm and excitement. This creates an atmosphere in the class that is totally unique and engaging for parents and children alike.

    Flower Club

Join Yvonne every 4th Tuesday and learn about the fascinating and rewarding art of flower arranging, plus lots more.

    Line Dancing

Come join Christine each Tuesday at the Pie Hall for a great night of line dancing, both beginners and accomplished dancers. Times from Jan 31st : 7pm - 9.45pm

    Badminton

The Denby Dale Pie Hall Badminton Club was founded circa 1965. It joined the Barnsley and District League in the 1970`s so that the members could enjoy competitive badminton. We are looking for new male and female members of all abilities If you are interested in trying us out, contact the club secretary Bob Giles phone 01484865049 e-mail r.giles@btinternet.com We will be delighted to welcome you.

   Northern Soul

Northern Soul at the Pie Hall. 2nd Friday of the month. 7pm - midnight.

Over the years the Northern Soul nights have developed a fantastic monthly following with fans coming to the Pie Hall from far and wide to enjoy the music.

 

  Athletics Club

.We have around 100 senior members aged 16 and above and a Junior Section for those aged 8 to 16. If you would like to join us for a run without obligation, we would be very pleased to see you any Tuesday or Thursday at the Pie Hall, Denby Dale at 7.00pm.  For further information contact Andy Kirby (club secretary) on tel: 01226 791143.

    Short Tennis

Has badminton left you behind? Why not try a relatively up and coming new sport - Short Tennis. Played indoor on a badminton with soft balls and racquets this game allows a person to continue to use their racquet / ball skills developed whilst playing tennis/squash etc without demanding too much of the 'older' body.We currently play in the Denby Dale Pie Hall each Wednesday morning.    Pie Crust Folk           Club

The monthly folk club began about thirty years ago and we now have a regular clientele from the Wakefield, Holmfirth, Barnsley and Huddersfield areas, to name but a few. Performances range from the traditional to the contemporary , with a bit of ragtime, blues, jazz and poetry thrown into the mix. It has been said we are a warm, welcoming club, so hopefully it will continue to flourish in the future. We meet in the upstairs room of the Pie Hall on the second Thursday of the month.

     Sunday Quiz          Night

Join Phil & Simon every Sunday night at 9.30pm for a friendly quiz. Cash Prizes, beer and more to be won.

   Pie Hall Radio          Hams 

.The Pie Hall is the venue for the local amateur radio club. Gerald looks after this.

   Visiting Ales

Our well stocked bar boasts regular visitng ales which are proving a huge success for our patrons.

Why not join our social club its only £2 per year or £1 for senior citizens.

We have Sky TV , we are members of  darts and dominoes leagues,  new team members always welcome. Our opening hours are :

Monday to Friday 6.30pm while late .

Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 3.30pm then 7pm while late.
